SCL 25th Biennial Conference

The Society for Caribbean Linguistics (SCL), in collaboration with the Society for Pidgin and Creole Languages (SPCL), will meet in Guyana from 5 to 9 August 2024 for its 25th Biennial Conference. The Conference will be hosted by the University of Guyana, under the theme “Looking Back and Moving Forward: Innovations in Language Theory, Policy and Practice.”

Early bird deadline for submission of abstracts: 30 March 2024

Final deadline for submission of abstracts: 30 April 2024 (Extended to 17 May 2024)

Notification of acceptance: 15 April 2024 (early bird) & 15 May 2024 (Extended to 27 May 2024) (regular).
Early Bird Registration ends: 30 June 2024

Abstracts on all types of Caribbean languages are invited. 1) ALL presenters at SCL conferences are expected to be current members, i.e., in good financial standing, of the SCL. This includes joint authors not present. Become a new member or renew membership.
2) Students must be currently registered in the academic year of the conference and must supply a student ID number and proof of registration from their institution. Read More
