Voghn-E. Tatem publishes children's books
Voghn-E. Tatem is Barbadian student in the Linguistics programme at The University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus. By engaging children in storytelling, dramatic pieces and writing, Voghn hopes to encourage a strong appreciation for language. From an early age, he learned that language is a powerful tool, from his father (who is also a writer), that can be used to further define a person's culture. Voghn started with Sentence City in 2017 and intends to create more content. He plans to write more about topics related to Barbadian culture in an attempt to instil pride in Barbadian children and to give others insight into the Barbadian way of life.

His 2019 publication 'Gary the Garbage Bin' shows a student the importance of keeping the school clean.

Voghn's first children's book 'Sentence City' was published in 2017.
