The Society for Caribbean Linguistics (SCL), in collaboration with the Society for Pidgin and Creole Languages (SPCL), will meet in Costa Rica from 5 to 12 August 2018 for its 22nd Biennial Conference. The Conference will be hosted by the Universidad Nacional de Costa Rica under the theme "Connecting the Caribbean: Languages, Borders, and Identities”.

Abstracts on all types of Caribbean languages are invited. Caribbean languages include spoken and signed languages, Amerindian languages, Creole languages, standardised, official and non-standardised language varieties, immigrant languages, heritage languages, endangered languages, and religious and ritual languages.
